Job Summary Chaucer is seeking a Head for Data Delivery responsible for the delivery and execution of data products and solutions. This leader will ensure that the business requirements are well understood by the technical resources, and that the product/solution is delivered to meet those requirements. Reporting to the Head of Data & Analytics you will drive performance of data delivery and analytics solutions to impact overall business results. You will be responsible for Data Operations and successful development of data products. This person is responsible for setting the vision for Data Operations and championing the use of data in supporting key business decisions. You will collaborate with the Data Office, Data Insights and Technology teams to understand their priorities and ensure that the Data & Analytics function can deliver on these requirements. You will also play a mentorship role to key data personnel, constantly honing their professional skills. About You You have a positive attitude and are motivated to do your best to succeed every day. The successful candidate has experience supporting Data & Analytics Transformation programs. The ideal candidate will also have data analytics experience and can work collaboratively across business units to understand and assess data needs and priorities. This role will require that the holder build exceptional credibility, trusting partnerships, and can influence at varying levels of the organization to build consensus and alignment on strategic objectives. You will be the ability to communicate effectively and concisely both written and verbally at all levels of the organization with clear decisions and outcomes easily understood based on the audience. Main Duties Understand how data informs business strategy and combine this understanding with data expertise to support data driven insights and incremental value. Support in the c reat ion of visually appealing and informative data products that effectively communicate data-driven insights to stakeholders. Assist the business in the understanding of the use of data, which improves business decisions. Participate in the selection and implementation of tools, software and best practices to support strategic goals. Be an ambassador for Data & Analytics, advocate for the data strategy, data skills and best practices. Be an advocate of D ata G overnance and E thical use of data and building trust with partners. C ommunicate, and implement a multi-year strategic data roadmap that aligns with business outcomes. Create D ata- D riven approaches for the purpose of generating business insights through data addressing unanswered business issues in a proactive manner. I mprove the development of Data Products for the Business. M anage a team across the work streams to realize their full potential and ensure successful delivery of the team objectives. Nurtures a positive environment, fostering new ideas and developing individual talent across the wider team, ensuring appropriate performance targets and development plans are in place. Ensures the right culture and behaviours are promoted and communicated. Acts as a role model for the team. Skills & Competencies Relevant experience as a data delivery leader. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully engage and influence a broad range of individuals across various businesses and key support functions. Good organisational and change management skills and attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to prioritise and work independently, managing a high-volume of tasks and deadlines. Good problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Experience in working through structured frameworks, with business stakeholders, for assessing and selecting key priorities for investment and development. Data-driven decision maker; able to complete thorough research and investigation, yet quickly make decisions and present findings. Capable of working collaboratively with leaders and business partners. Experience in insurance or similar industry in utilizing a consultative approach to understand business needs. Technical knowledge on new data platforms and technologies, such as cloud data lakes, data catalogues, data pipeline London Market Experience A logical thinker and creative problem solver who can use data to instigate change in business areas.
