We want you to #JOINTHEREBELLION!
For 30 years we’ve been independently developing and publishing incredible video games at our multiple studios founded by Jason & Chris Kingsley, but Rebellion is more than just games. We have our own film and mo-cap studio, we create board games, publish books, and through 2000AD, publish comics and graphic novels such as the amazing Judge Dredd.
Over the past three years, we have transformed the Rebellion finance department through our investments in top-tier ERP systems, streamlined processes, and advanced automation. Our commitment lies in achieving exceptional performance, robust controls, and top-notch reporting and analysis. At the heart of our success is the incredible talent within our team, along with the invaluable business partner support we extend to all departments and teams.
This role is based at our riverside headquarters in Oxford, offering a creative and relaxed atmosphere where teamwork drives our success.
What You'll Do & Learn:
This will be a six-week project working closely with both the Finance and the Commercial Publishing teams to re-engineer the cradle to grave royalties process. You will be working with advanced Excel, including macros but the business will be happy to look at any of your proposals around the best way to take forward the whole process.
Royalties are paid on standard book sales, special sales, and rights deals, at differing rates and are also subject to author negotiation. You will also learn about different royalty deals and implement best practice for recording royalty payments especially where there is additional complexity - for example where we have several contributors to a publication – writers and artists working in collaboration on different pages across one book.
Once the process around the calculation has been implemented you will also be looking at developing the automation of royalties statements, delivery, and the finally the payment process.
The project will be of interest for those looking for Finance, Commercial or Legal based experience.

* All applications must be submitted by Friday, 21st February at 16:00.
