The Role
We are looking for a skilled and driven Assistive Technologies Service Manager to lead our Careline Assistive Technology Technical team. You will be responsible for overseeing service delivery, ensuring operational excellence, and developing new and innovative assistive technology solutions.
This role will require you to:
• Manage the installation and maintenance of assistive technology solutions
• Ensure the service responds effectively to life-critical incidents
• Oversee research and development in assistive technology, working with partners and suppliers
• Lead and develop a team of Senior Assistive Technologies Technicians
• Manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective service delivery
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, data protection, and regulatory policies
• Deputise for the Assistive Technologies Manager as needed
This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in enhancing independent living and safety for vulnerable residents across Hertfordshire.
The Experience you will bring
Essential:
• Experience managing technical teams, service desks, or support operations
• Knowledge of telecommunications, telecare, and telehealth solutions
• Understanding of safeguarding and data protection policies
• Experience managing budgets and financial monitoring
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, including experience delivering training
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use
Desirable:
• Experience working in shift-based or on-call environments
• Functional knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
