Your role will involve assisting the Specialist nurses in running clinics within the diabetes centre and must be committed to providing a high standard of nursing care and have the drive to want to make a difference to patient care. The speciality of Diabetes will provide you with great opportunity for development and work with a compassionate, enthusiastic and highly motivated nursing team. Applicants will be supported and encouraged to develop towards future goals., The post holder will assess, plan, evaluate and deliver all relevant aspects of patient care in a caring, compassionate and sensitive manner. Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the clinical governance process. Act as a mentor/preceptor to junior staff, with specific responsibility for pre-registration students. The post holder will take delegated responsibility for the management of the clinical team and the maintenance of high standards of quality patient care on a shift basis.
