Mears provide tailored rapid-response and planned maintenance services through partnering arrangements with more than 70 local authorities, Arm’s Length Management Organisations and Housing Associations.
About the Role:
As a Planner you will be working in a stable and profitable contract, committed to delivering an excellent repairs service and customer experience supported through our local teams, who understand the importance of working together for the local community. This local contract covers Thurrock council within the social housing sector.
Day to day duties:
* Answering client & internal calls and emails.
* Planning work for the in-house operatives and sub-contractors.
* Ensuring works are completed in target & achieving KPI.
* Administration of compliance checks and visits.
* Housekeeping of internal MCM system.
* General administration duties.
* Mandatory training and compliance.
* Supporting void manager and team daily.
Job Requirements:
* Developing maintenance strategies.
* Resource allocation.
* Scheduling and coordination.
* Execution and monitoring.
* Experience with planning works.
* Good communication skills.
* Team player.
Role and Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of a Repair Maintenance/ Planned work Planner include:
* Developing and managing detailed maintenance schedules and work orders.
* Coordinating and scheduling all maintenance activities.
* Ensuring that all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
* Maintaining accurate records of maintenance performed, equipment condition, and maintenance costs.
* Working with engineering and operations teams to plan and implement equipment modifications and upgrades.
* Procuring necessary maintenance supplies and equipment.
* Working with vendors and contractors as needed.
* Participating in the development and implementation of maintenance policies, procedures, and best practices.
Role Criteria:
* Previous experience working in a call centre or customer service environment.
* Previous experience with planning and scheduling works.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, operatives and subcontractors.
* A proactive team player who is willing to support colleagues to ensure a seamless service.
* Ability to work well under pressure and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* A positive and customer-focused approach, with a commitment to providing excellent service.
