DEFENCE SECTOR - COMMERCIAL FINANCE DIRECTOR
Robert half have retained the search for a Commercial Finance Director to join a pre-revenue start up that has now completed development and testing, and is set to begin manufacture and sales. You will work with the CEO to put in place the infrastructure needed to ramp up manufacturing, right size the finance team, implement a suitable ERP and both reporting and BI tools, develop pricing and go to market strategies both in the UK and internationally, review bids and contracts as well as building strong relationships with all internal stakeholders. This is an exciting time to join as they already have a wide range of customers that have placed sizeable orders, and are confident that the business will accelerate fast!
This role also has a direct route to becoming the CFO within 24 months.
DUTIES:
1. You take the ownership in driving and supporting our business objectives.
2. Develop go to market strategy, pricing and bid models
3. implement a suitable ERP and both reporting and BI tools
4. Work with the CEO to put in place the infrastructure needed to ramp up manufacturing
5. Grow and develop a robust and efficient finance team
6. You will do this by partnering with our Senior Leadership team and wider management team. Based on your finance expertise and business insights, you will act as a true Business Partner: you will challenge your stakeholders and think together with them about the best strategies to obtain our companies' objectives
7. You will drive continuous improvement in business processes and efficiency in financial transactions.
8. You will lead a team of experienced Business Controllers, providing guidance and support in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
9. You will drive provision of the most relevant financial insights, forecasts, and recommendations to support decision-making.
10. You will review the organisation's financial reports and business performance reports to ensure they are accurate and present the findings and recommendations to other Senior Management.
11. Where possible, you align the processes and way-of-working across The group.
12. You play a pivotal role in our forecasting and budgeting cycles.
BENEFITS:
13. A highly competitive base salary of between £85,000 and £110,000 p/a based on the candidate's experience.
14. Performance related bonus of up to 15% of salary
15. Holiday - 25 days (plus 8 bank holidays) increasing by 1 day per year up to a maximum of 30 days after 2 years' service.
