We are seeking a dedicated and experienced & wine focused Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the team of this celebrated Restaurant in the heart of Notting Hill. As a Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will work closely with the Manager to overseeing the day-to-day operations on the restaurant floor, ensuring that guests receive exceptional service.
A big focus of this role will be to assume responsibility for the wine service within the Restaurant, you dont have to be a Sommelier but a solid base knowledge would be an advantage!
Responsibilities:
* Working closely with the Restaurant Manager to ensure the smooth running of operations
* Oversee the Wine service within the restaurant
* Supervise the restaurant team during service
* Train and mentor new staff members, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities
* Ensure the quality of service provided to guests and address any issues or concerns promptly
* Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels
* Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food preparation and delivery
Requirements:
* WSET Level 2 + would be an advantage
* Previous experience in a supervisory role within a quality restaurant
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Excellent customer service skills
* Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
