We are seeking an experienced SDET/AQA to join our Quality Assurance team in Glasgow, UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with the latest technologies and contribute to the growth of automation testing within our organisation.
As an intermediate level professional in this role, you will be part of a professional software development environment and play a key part in delivering high-quality test solutions.
* Create and execute test cases based on project documents, customer demands, and product objectives.
* Establish and maintain robust test automation frameworks for backend applications and services.
* Responsible for the overall health and efficiency of test pipelines.
* Collaborate closely with different teams and products to ensure seamless integration.
* Stay up-to-date with sprint, release, and product goals, ensuring alignment and delivery.
* Create and maintain manual tests to associate with automation tests for traceability purposes.
* Develop and maintain a Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) to showcase overall testing status and potential risks.
* Design and implement test scenarios and acceptance tests to meet quality standards.
* Stay current with emerging test tools, methodologies, and trends to continually improve existing practices and processes.
* Accurately report new defects and update the status of logged items based on testing feedback.
* Mentor junior team members on test script development and oversee the test automation framework.
* Ensure final quality approval on production releases.
* Verify release documentation completeness and accuracy to ensure it reflects the completed work.
We are looking for highly skilled software testers with the following experience:
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in automation testing.
* Desirable compiled language knowledge, such as C, C++, C#, or Fortran.
* Experience in API/Libraries testing is highly beneficial.
* Simulation-based testing experience is advantageous.
* Exceptional designing and programming skills.
* Familiarity with programming languages and process management methodology.
* Knowledge of test methodologies and corresponding tools.
* Exposure to Behaviour Driven Development and experience in programming and testing.
* The ability to identify risks and errors in an application.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong time management and organisational skills.
* The ability to stay current with the rapidly evolving technology industry.
* A passion for testing, development, and design.
* Ability to take a project leadership role and guide other team members effectively.
