The Opportunity
As a Mechanical Services Engineer you will be a key part of the Building Services Engineering Team, working on multidisciplinary projects while being responsible for the output of graduate Mechanical Services engineers and technicians. You will be part of a collaborative team of over 15 engineers and technicians in the Liverpool office and a wider 100+ engineers and technicians within the North West & Yorkshire region.
In this role you will:
1. Apply your engineering expertise to shape our projects, moving them towards zero carbon.
2. Work in an interdisciplinary environment and aim to design buildings that maximise value for our clients whilst minimising their environmental impact.
3. Play an active role in all stages of our projects from feasibility through to completion across several sectors, including commercial, residential, education, energy, sport, healthcare and mixed-use developments.
4. Offer consultancy advice and prepare design reports, specifications and drawings in a timely fashion and within budget.
5. Play a part in the ever-increasing digital transformation of our business, seeking new ways to increase our efficiency through automation and to offer new services to our clients through our integrated digital approach to design.
Is this role right for you?
We’re looking for a candidate who:
1. Is Degree qualified in Mechanical, Building Services or Architectural Engineering.
2. Is working towards a Chartered Engineer status via an appropriate professional institution such as IMechE or CIBSE.
3. Has demonstrable background in the field of mechanical building services design with experience across a range of project scales and building types.
4. Has knowledge and interest in sustainable building design in terms of both energy and carbon, and satisfying associated regulatory and voluntary codes.
5. Has background of working within a BIM environment using Revit.
