Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Clinician to join the Public Dental Service team in the North-East of Scotland.
The successful candidate will be an experienced Dental Practitioner with excellent communication and patient management skills and a willingness to develop expertise in provision of care to vulnerable and priority group patients. The position would be particularly suited to an experienced General Dental Practitioner and will primarily involve providing routine continuing care to long standing registered patients but requires an ability to adapt to the developing remit of the Public Dental Service and to work flexibly with a range of Healthcare colleagues.
During this challenging time for dentistry, joining NHS Grampians Public Dental Service (PDS) will allow you to contribute to our recovery plan, whilst developing your career. Dental Services across Scotland have been impacted by COVID-19 and the PDS will continue to play a critical role. In addition to providing urgent dental care, you will also play an important role in the prevention of oral health disease, meeting the needs of the ageing population and reducing oral health inequalities.
This post offers exciting opportunities for a dedicated Dental Officer to provide a comprehensive range of treatment for registered and access patients working under the GDS regulations. Providing dental care for priority group and referred patients, you will also offer a range of services to the young and elderly and develop skills in sedation.
We are looking for a Clinician who makes patient care their first priority and who thrive working with a number of different patient groups. In return, the PDS provides an exciting working environment with access to first class training and development opportunities. You will be supported to develop skills to deliver the key duties of the post, providing dental care for adult and child patients with a wide range of additional health and social care needs, including complex medical conditions, physical disability, learning disability, dental anxiety and those in hospital or residential care settings. You will enjoy the professional support of highly qualified and experienced colleagues, working within well-equipped modern dental clinics and other healthcare facilities.
Full registration with the GDC is required. For more information visit www.gdc-uk.org
