Technical Staffing Resources (TSR) are the in-house agency and master vendor for KBR who are a leading global engineering, construction, and services company.
KBR support the hydrocarbon and government services markets on six continents. Serving their customers through diverse business units, KBR offer challenging assignments on some of the world's largest and most complex projects.
KBR are looking to recruit a Digital Enterprise Architect on a 12 month contract based in Warrington / Cumbria.

Role Overview
The role is part of the PPP support to the Digital Asset Management (DAM) programme within Sellafield. The PPP support to DAM is an integrated project team with members from PPP and Sellafield’s asset management capability.
The DAM programme is a site wide delivery improvement programme supporting Sellafield’s improvement requirements, aiming to address a number of issues with Sellafield’s asset management arrangements with a targeted outcome of: “An integrated information line of sight from the asset through to the enterprise that integrates activities across the asset lifecycle, removes the burden of paper-based work processes from our teams and engages everyone in the use of modern digital technologies to inform decision making.”
Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring that a company’s business strategy achieves its goals through the proper architecture of its technology systems. Main duties include:
* Determining the technology system architecture and functional design needed to support and meet company business goals
* Setting the context, defining common elements and creating patterns and standards to apply the details at a project level
* Assisting management and stakeholders in evaluating the business’ mission and ensuring that the company uses its IT assets effectively
* Documenting the process using multiple architectural models
* Evaluating existing IT systems for exposure or weaknesses that could compromise performance, security or efficiency
* First-hand experience developing and building models
* Implementing shared infrastructure to optimise information management systems
* Develop and maintain the Enterprise Architecture, principles, guidelines, templates and reference materials (including physical, logical and conceptual designs) to accelerate the creation of new architectures
* Works closely with organisational strategy teams, supply chain partnerships and other organisations to document the ICT requirements of Sellafield’s Asset Management Capability, collaborating with Sellafield’s Information Services Organisation (ISO)
* Provides strategic advice and guidance to other business functions responsible for implementation and delivery of the strategy
* Works with the other members of the Architecture team to decompose business requirements into Architecture Building Blocks and Solution Building Blocks
* Works with the Sellafield Asset Management Capability to deliver business improvement and change
* Engages as part of the collaborative team to understand and develop emerging requirements into an ICT roadmap that will support the delivery of the initiatives
* Provides input to organisational portfolio planning and ICT Strategy
* Interprets changes in business models within organisations outside Sellafield and helps Sellafield benefit from similar changes where they may be of benefit
Skills / ESSENTIAL
* Seven to ten years of experience in IT, information security or a related field
* Ability to scrutinise the domains of the enterprise’s structure to improve operations and align the business and technology to be transparent
* Ability to analyse data and information generated by the enterprise and operational labour structure to identify cost-savings opportunities
* Skills in developing standards and policies that guide the use of IT assets
* Excellent communication skills for educating employees on best practices for applying the company’s IT products, resources and solutions
* Expert knowledge in computer science and IT to research IT solutions and identify ways to enhance existing operations
* Expertise in cloud computing
* Efficiency in time management, project management and demonstrative of the company’s service orientated architecture (SOA)
* Expertise in developing architectures where security is critical
* Hold or be capable of obtaining government clearance (SC/SL – Nuclear)
Skills / DESIRABLE
* Ability to present ideas in a business-friendly, plain English way
* Good knowledge of the MS Office Suite, in particular strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint and Visio
* Experience developing architectures within an asset management area domain
* Experience developing architectures relying on platforms such as Hexagon j5, PEGA, IBM Maximo & SAP
