Responsibilities
Infiltrator Water Technologies is seeking an experienced Quality Director. The Quality Director plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the strategic direction of the Quality Program across all divisions and facilities, with a focus on maintaining customer satisfaction of the products it manufactures and distributes. This leadership position is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving quality systems to ensure that products consistently meet or exceed established standards. The role works closely with Procurement, Production, Engineering, and R&D teams to drive product quality improvements and ensure timely release of new products. This position is part of the senior leadership team at Infiltrator Water Technologies, reporting directly to the VP of Engineering.
The Quality Director will regularly provide key metrics and actionable insights to executive management to support data-driven decision-making and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Leads the Quality Team, ensuring skills align with manufacturing objectives. Oversee staffing, budgets, and capital equipment. Works continuously with recycled plastic materials and recommends polymer blends for specific product applications based upon lab test results. Collaborates with Operations and Engineering to develop and implement quality policies, ensuring consistent production of safe, high-quality products that comply with internal and external standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM, CSA, IAPMO). Works with suppliers and internal teams to establish quality and safety standards for incoming raw materials and components. Addresses quality-related concerns with Customer Service, Sales, and Marketing, ensuring effective corrective actions. Oversee audits and inspections to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and other quality standards. Coordinate with regulatory agencies during inspections and audits. Provides laboratory oversight of an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited polymer laboratory, focusing on polypropylene and polyethylene. Lead the integration of new technologies and methodologies to enhance quality and operational efficiency. Promotes the use of statistical methods for decision-making throughout the company.
The successful candidate should have a BS in Mechanical, Chemical, or Plastics Engineering and experience in leading a Quality Program in a consumer products manufacturing and distribution environment for 10+ years, experience leading quality initiatives across multiple divisions within a large organization, experience directing quality programs for a multi-site manufacturing operation and experience with injection molding processes. ISO Leadership: proven experience managing an ISO 9001 registered program. Certification for CQM, CQE from ASQ is preferred and the ability to apply recycled plastic knowledge to products.
