Red Snapper Recruitment are recruiting for a Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Service Manager for a charity based in the North East of England\n\nPost: VAWG Service Manager\n\nContract: Full-time, Permanent subject to funding\n\nSalary: £34,944 to £38,183 (£19.20ph to £20.98ph)\n\nHours & Days 35 hours a week\n\nMonday to Fridays 9am to 5pm\n\nAdditional benefits: 25 days paid holiday, employer's pension contribution of 6%, enhanced maternity leave\n\nLocation: Newcastle upon Tyne\n\nRole Overview\n\nThe VAWG Service Manager is primarily responsible for leading the strategic development and delivery of holistic, trauma informed and culturally competent VAWG services for Black and minoritised women and children\n\nMain duties and responsibilities \n\nLeading, managing, developing, fundraising, monitoring and delivering the operational running of high-quality VAWG frontline services for Black and racially minoritised women and children across the Northumbria Combined Authority (NECA)\nEnsuring that all service safeguarding measures are in place and that a strong track record of institutional advocacy and prioritisation of women and children rights remains central to servicesPerson Specification\n\nExtensive experience of working in the VAWG sector, and track record of working in a leadership and management role\nProven track record in running VAWG frontline services\nExperience of identifying, managing and mitigating risks, especially in relation to safeguarding adults (and children)\nIDVA and/or ISVA qualification ideally\nRobust Adult and Child safeguarding knowledge with designated safeguarding officer certifications ideallyThis post is:\n\nsubject to Enhanced DBS Disclosure\nsubject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
