We are looking for a Company and Stage Management Coordinator to co-ordinate the efficient day-to-day running of the Company & Stage Management department in conjunction with the Head & Deputy of Company and Stage Management, and the Stage Management and Chaperoning teams, whilst collaborating with other RSC departments to ensure the smooth running of all RSC productions.
Reporting to the Head of Company and Stage Management, key areas of responsibility include:
1. Supporting the Head of Company and Stage Management to co-ordinate and support the freelance Stage Management teams and Acting companies.
2. Co-ordinate the access needs of company members working on productions and resource any support needed, including booking, scheduling, and contracting freelance support workers (such as BSL interpreters).
3. Working with the Box Office team to coordinate all company tickets requests including those for previews; press nights; guest nights and understudy open rehearsals, as well as managing the “company holds” for all RSC Stratford venues.
4. Assisting Company Managers on logistical arrangements of national and international tours including accommodation, travel arrangements, and arranging any access support on tour for acting company members.
5. Ensure that the Company and Stage Management teams' work meets all data protection legislation.
To be suitable for this role, it is essential that you have the following knowledge and experience:
1. Prioritisation of a varied workload to achieve the dynamic deadlines demanded in a busy office and departmental environment.
2. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
3. Accuracy and attention to detail.
4. Excellent diary and time management skills.
5. The ability to act with integrity, tact, patience and to observe confidentiality.
6. A good knowledge and understanding of theatre making and the production process.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 6 months, based in Stratford upon Avon.
You will be working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, although occasional weekend and evening work will be required. Due to this role being part of an operational team, there will be a requirement to be in the office every day.
