Finegreen are supporting a Healthcare organisation to appoint a Director of Nursing & Quality Assurance. The post will be hybrid (remote and onsite), based in Yorkshire and Humber, on an interim basis of 3 – 6 months, with a competitive hourly rate based on your experience. The post holder will contribute to the visible leadership of the organisation, ensuring a strong community focus and a commitment to integrated care instilling a desire across the organisation to improve the lives of our patients and make a positive impact on local communities. Key responsibilities will include: Provide strong, visible leadership across the Nursing & Quality Directorate and support the Chief Executive and Board in managing the Company and the associated development and delivery of the organisational strategy and the Integrated Business Plan; Promote and explain the mission, vision and values of the organisation, internally and to external partners and stakeholders; Promote and implement workforce plans in conjunction with the SMT which include continuing staff development, training and succession plans to meet nursing and strategic business goals; Represent the organisation at regional and national levels in conjunction with other members of the Board/Executive Team to enhance the reputation of the organisation; Provide highly visible and inspiring leadership for our Nursing workforce across; Develop and deliver the Nursing Strategy across the organisation including the associated competency frameworks and promotion of nursing research and its application to clinical practice; Be the lead Director for Quality Agenda to include patient safety, patient experience and clinical effectiveness; Undertake the role of CQC registered manager for some elements of the business; Ensure robust systems and processes for quality/clinical governance are in place to provide assurance that the essential standards of quality and safety are delivered to service users; Lead Director for Safeguarding – both adults and children - and provide assurance to the Board that systems and process within the organisation are in place and monitored using external processes as required in line with legislation; Be the Lead Director for Infection Prevention and Control throughout the organisation and provide assurance to the Board that Infection Prevention and Control systems, process and policies are fit for purpose; Working closely with the Board strategic responsibility for clinical education for the nursing workforce, ensuring the development of inter- professional education sitting, where relevant on Local Workforce Action Boards and Steering Groups. The ideal candidate will have: Current NMC registration; Evidence of post graduate academic achievement and continuing professional/managerial and leadership development; Master’s degree of equivalent experience; Demonstrable evidence of achievement and experience at a Deputy/ Director level; Outstanding and demonstrable leadership qualities; Change management and negotiation skills.
