Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and dynamic PE lessons to students across KS3, KS4, and KS5. Develop and implement a curriculum that fosters physical fitness, teamwork, and a passion for sports. Assess and evaluate student progress through both practical and theoretical assessments, providing constructive feedback for development. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and a positive attitude towards physical activity. Organize and lead extracurricular activities, such as sports clubs and teams, to enhance the students’ sporting experience. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, contribute to the success of the department, and engage in professional development opportunities. Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians, keeping them informed of student progress and achievements. Qualifications and Experience: A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field. A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent). Proven experience teaching PE at KS3, KS4, and KS5 level. In-depth knowledge of various sports and physical activities, with the ability to teach a range of practical and theoretical PE topics. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students to reach their full potential. Experience in coaching or leading extracurricular sports teams is desirable. Skills and Attributes: A passion for physical education and inspiring students to lead active and healthy lives.
