Director of Sales & Marketing, UK - Diagnostics & Point-of-Care

As the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will lead the strategic planning and implementation of sales and marketing initiatives across the UK. This role offers a rare opportunity to drive growth in the POC diagnostics sector while shaping the future of molecular diagnostic technologies.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute the sales and marketing strategy to drive growth in the UK market, with a focus on POC and Molecular Diagnostics.
2. Lead efforts to position the company as a global leader in infectious disease diagnostics.
3. Identify and secure new business opportunities in the UK and EMEA regions.
4. Manage large-scale NHS contracts, ensuring successful negotiation, implementation, and renewal.
5. Oversee multimillion-pound accounts and ensure consistent growth and customer satisfaction.
6. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to enhance brand visibility and credibility.
7. Provide feedback to the product development team to ensure alignment with customer needs and market demands.
8. Contribute to the company’s global growth strategy, particularly in navigating IVDR certification and other regulatory requirements.
9. Develop and manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
10. Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, including hospitals, laboratories, and distribution partners.
Requirements
1. Extensive experience in POC diagnostics, minimum 7 years of experience.
2. Strong knowledge of molecular testing and NHS contracts, including working at the lab level.
3. Established relationships with UK hospitals, decision-makers, and Key Opinion Leaders in diagnostics.
4. Proven experience managing government contracts and multimillion-pound accounts.
5. Demonstrated success in navigating distribution networks across the EMEA region.
6. Background in both large corporations and smaller companies.
