We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Assistant Finance Manager / Management Accountant who works to a high level of accuracy with some team leadership experience, mentoring more junior team members.
Working as the Assistant Finance Manager / Management Accountant you will play a crucial role in supporting the Finance Manager and Head of Finance in the day-to-day running of the finance department.
As the Finance Manager / Management Accountant you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. You will also be involved in ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.

DUTIES
Your duties as the Finance Manager / Management Accountant include:
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing accurate and timely information
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Assist with the preparation of year-end statutory accounts and audit schedules
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
• Assist with the development and implementation of financial controls and procedures
• Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc projects and tasks
• Supervise and mentor junior members of the finance team
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
• Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
• Proven experience in a similar accounting role
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience of supervising or mentoring junior team members is desirable
• A strong work ethic, and a desire to progress your career
