Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and skilled Academic Mentor to provide targeted support in Maths, Science, and English to students in a secondary school. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about helping students reach their full potential in core subjects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver tailored 1:1 and small group interventions in Maths or English, focusing on identified gaps in knowledge.
2. Support students in achieving their academic goals through engaging and effective sessions.
3. Collaborate with teachers to align interventions with the curriculum and student needs.
4. Monitor and report on student progress, adapting strategies as necessary.
5. Build positive relationships to inspire confidence and motivation in learners.
Requirements
1. A strong academic background in Science, Maths, or English (degree preferred).
2. Experience working with students, either in a school setting or through tutoring.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.
5. A proactive and supportive attitude.
6. Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
