About The Opportunity
Jacobs is a leading supplier to Local Government providing a wide range of transportation and built environment services to a host of Local Authorities. With a 15% share of a $1bn market, Local Government is a key pillar of our growth plans as we enable our clients to deliver social, economic, and environmental outcomes for their communities. We are seeking a self-motivated, inspirational leader with credible experience who will work closely with our Market Directors and Client Account Managers to position Jacobs as the leading supplier and trusted partner to local government across a broad range of services.
What can you expect from the role?
Working closely with our Sales and Operations teams, the LG CAD will be responsible for the continuous evolution of our Local Government value proposition and growth plans, proactively positioning us for growth ahead of market trends and at the forefront of C-suite client engagement. Through gaining client insight and understanding, you will ensure that we capitalize on our competitive advantage with the vision to become the sector’s most valued solutions provider and trusted partner.
Key Deliverables (Not limited to):
Strategy and Growth:
* Backlog growth and forward strength of the LG work pipeline on the Client Success Platform (CSP). Working with Sales and Operations teams to champion the consistent CSP use to enhance the quality and integrity of data to drive growth.
* Evaluating, developing, directing, and implementing LG account growth strategies.
* Relaying, embedding, and helping implement the corporate, Europe, market, cross-cutting, and LG client account strategies into the local government market.
* Partnering with Market Directors to co-create, engage, implement, and maintain the purpose, vision, values, and growth strategy for the local government market.
* Ensuring local government growth strategies direct where we should compete, how we should compete, assessing our capability to compete, and what change is required to implement a successful strategy.
* Building and aligning collaborative partnerships with key industry partners, stakeholders, and strategic supply chain partners.
Brand and Profile:
* Developing thought leadership deliverables.
* Ensuring that Jacobs is a visible industry leader through participation in industry, stakeholder, and political engagement and network events, targeting marketing and communications that will drive your client account growth strategy with clear return on investment.
* Strategising, building, and aligning collaborative partnerships with key industry partners and stakeholders, and strategic supply chain partners to drive our growth strategy generally and enhance our value proposition on pursuits.
Client Relationships:
* Growing and sustaining a prioritized network with current and potential clients within the local government sector and with their key stakeholders, utilizing industry reputation, experience, and knowledge to develop new business, new prospects, and expand existing business.
* Understanding the clients’ businesses: drivers, outcomes, challenges, budget, and spending forecasts, influencers, and stakeholders.
* Creating and coordinating deep personal client relationships and acting as their trusted advisor.
* Putting the customer first, you will lead and advocate for outcomes-based thinking and solutions.
* Actively working to shape the clients’ thinking around outcomes-based, collaboratively formed scope, procurement, commercial, and contracting.
Governance and Delivery:
* Leading Tier 1 and Tier 2 (top priority) prospects for local government clients.
* Enabling, engaging, and supporting value proposition development, win planning, and sales governance on all top priority opportunities in the sector.
* Leading our top prospects through the sales process where you will be responsible for:
o Driving the development of the value proposition.
o Developing innovative commercial solutions.
o Ensuring compliance with client requirements, internal sales process, and governance.
Here's what you'll need:
* Demonstrate client focus and an ability to create and maintain senior client relationships.
* Have proven leadership experience in creating, implementing, and maintaining agile growth strategies, desirably with local government or demonstrable experience of managing large multi-faceted clients.
* Have an excellent understanding of the Local Government market.
* Bring a creative approach to developing solutions.
* Demonstrate business acumen.
* Understand and implement Relationship Based Sales.
