We require a skilled Mobile Plant Maintenance Fitter, to join our team working as a key maintenance team member, you will carry out reactive, predictive and planned maintenance on our fixed and mobile plant. What You Will Be Doing Our maintenance team members are significant to our depots, without their knowledge and experience in reactive and planned maintenance, we could come to a standstill. Promoting a positive Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental culture throughout the business. Work in a pro-active preventative environment to prevent breakdown or failure. Providing maintenance support for 10 sites across North East England. Pro-active during machinery maintenance and repair. Implement Root Cause Analysis (RCA) approach to eliminate repeat issues and contribute to medium and long term plans. Maintain critical spares levels for routine maintenance. Troubleshoot and drive shared learnings to improve performance across EMR. Keep all documentation up to date on the CMMS system. Attend training as required to keep within legislation and up to date knowledge. Working as part of a team, maintaining and condition monitoring the whole plant. Complete all PPM tasks scheduled. Assist in completion of any remedial work highlighted from PPM’s. About You A nationally recognised mechanically biased, time served apprenticeship minimum NVQ level 3. Maintenance experience in a heavy engineering environment. Maintenance experience in mobile plant. Earth moving equipment. Time served mobile plant fitting background. A high level of experience, fault finding and repairing excavators, loading shovels, forklifts, skid steers. Experience with shears and balers. A high level or experience working remotely on mobile equipment. A high level of experience on hydraulic equipment, diagnosis and repair. A good understanding of electrical safety. Diagnosis skills are desirable. H&S qualification equivalent to IOSH Managing safely is desirable. First principles relating to the operation and maintenance of appropriate plant and equipment. Maintenance and operational practices, processes and procedures covering a range of plant. Have previous experience in a mobile role, traveling to sites independently. Willing to travel to other sites in the area, from Marske-by-the-sea-Blaydon.
