Support Worker (Internally know as an Enablement Assistant) Hourly Rate: £12.50 per hour Location: Bracknell, Reading Type of Contract: Permanent Hours of work: PT days or wake nights Shifts times : 7am-10pm sleep, 9am-9pm, 9pm-9am About the Role Ben is a charismatic 42 year old male who enjoys a balance between meeting new people and having time to himself to relax and listen to music. Ben is moving to Bracknell and is looking for new team members to support him with daily skills and building his independence. Ben likes short walks and shopping, however sometimes requires prompting & encouragement to engage in his weekly schedule. You will need to be a calm, caring, supportive person and a good listener to enable you to provide support, to maximise his independence and well-being. You will have a ‘can do’ attitude and be ‘person-centred’ You will need to have a flexible approach to work and be able to adapt to the needs of the person you will be supporting and the organisation. You will be required to support with the administration of medication and also help to facilitate the booking of hospital appointments and to support Ben to attend these as and when required. Within PBS4, we call Support Workers ‘Enablement Assistants’. As an Enablement Assistant you will have the support of a team of people dedicated to supporting that person. You will also be able to access support from the Enablement Manager, Deputy Enablement Manager and the Positive Behaviour Support Clinician who provide you and the team with management and leadership.
