Are you passionate about supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? Protocol Education is seeking a 1-to-1 Teaching Assistant (TA) to work with a Year 3 student with ASD for 2 days a week in Pucklechurch. The school strives to make all aspects of the day inclusive for all and has a passion for bringing the outdoors into the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to a Year 3 student with ASD both in and out of the classroom.
* Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
* Help the student engage with classroom activities, lessons, and outdoor activities.
* Assist with social and emotional development, both during structured lessons and unstructured break times.
* Collaborate with the class teacher to develop personalized learning strategies and behavior management plans.
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience supporting children with ASD, ideally in a school environment.
* Patience, empathy, and an understanding approach to the student's needs.
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
* A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential, inside and outside the classroom.
