We are seeking an exceptional Teacher of Health & Social Care and Sociology to deliver outstanding teaching and learning to young people aged 16-19. This role is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated educator to contribute to a professional centre for excellence, offering Applied Technical Qualifications and specialised routes to university. Day-to-day of the role: Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions in Health & Social Care and Sociology to students aged 16-19. Prepare lesson plans and materials that meet curriculum guidelines and the diverse needs of students. Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students. Provide a stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and student engagement. Implement strategies to stretch and challenge students, ensuring they reach their full potential. Support students in developing confidence and skills for their future careers and life beyond sixth form. Participate in departmental meetings, training, and professional development sessions. Required Skills & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification in a relevant subject area. Proven experience in teaching Health & Social Care and Sociology at a sixth form or similar educational level. Strong understanding of the curriculum and assessment methods for the subjects taught. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents. Ability to create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
