About us Sovrin Medical Plastics is an ISO 13485 certified, contract manufacturer, supplying Precision Injection Mouldings, Assemblies and Medical Devices to the Pharmaceutical, Drug Delivery and Healthcare industries. Job description We are looking to expand our Quality Assurance team with the addition of Quality Engineers. As an engineering-focused company, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress their quality engineering career by working in a close-knit, highly experienced team. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work closely with customers and all other departments at Sovrin on new projects, from conception, through validation and into production. Key tasks are likely to include: Customer liaison – as the primary contact for a number of customers for all quality-related correspondence. Validation – an integral part of NPI project teams driving validation through IQ/OQ/PQ. Metrology – utilising modern contact and non-contact CMMs to establish metrology methods that will be used to validate and monitor the quality of precision components. QMS – assisting with the maintenance of the QMS and acting as the quality lead through various aspects of the system including CAPA, RCA, change control, document control, risk assessments and audits (internal, supplier and customer/notified body). Reporting – generating a wide variety of reports from simple spreadsheet-based capability studies to full Validation Summary Reports. Training – writing Work Instructions and SOPs and implementing training to personnel at all levels within Sovrin. GMP – providing guidance and support throughout the company in GMP/GDP/DI. Ideally, your skills will include: Experience of working in an injection moulding/engineering/medical device manufacturing environment. Comprehensive understanding of ISO13485:2016. The ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings. The capability to operate and program Mitutoyo contact and non-contact CMMs. The confidence to interact professionally with others at all levels internally and externally. Proficiency in the use of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Training will be given to the successful applicant(s) who demonstrate appropriate core skills and an enthusiasm to learn. Full-time, Permanent Pay: up to £50,000.00 per year (Must be able to commute to Slough this is an on-site position.)
