We are looking for a Deputy Manager to join the team at a Residential Children’s Home in Syston the salary is between £31,500-£37,500 depending on qualifications and experince. This is a very rewarding role with many benefits.
The home will support children & young people aged between 8-18, providing up to 3 service users at any one-time opportunities to enjoy different experiences, establish friendships and develop confidence, independence and social/emotional skills.
You will build trust and develop nurturing relationships which promote the service user’s independence, wellbeing, strengths, and capabilities and work in partnership and build relationships with parents/carers and other professionals. You will shift lead and conduct staff supervisions. You will support the Registered Manager with audits and other duties where required.
You will contribute to the upkeep of the home including cooking, cleaning etc. as well as documenting information accurately and ensure records are kept up to date. You will ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to and promote, monitor and maintain a safe environment at all times.
Essential
Level 3 qualification relevant to Residential Childcare
Hold or be willing to work towards the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People’s services
1 year supervisory and shift leader experience in a Children’s Residential setting
Knowledge and experience of working with OFSTED Regulations and Quality Standards of Children’s homes
Driving License
