If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an SEMH Teaching Assistant at a vibrant school in Doncaster. About the Role As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with SEMH needs. You will work closely with teachers and other staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your role will involve providing one-on-one and group support, helping students to develop their social and emotional skills, and implementing strategies to manage behaviour. You will also be responsible for monitoring and recording students’ progress and liaising with parents and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support. Responsibilities Provide targeted support to students with SEMH needs. Assist in the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs). Promote positive behaviour and support students in developing self-regulation skills. Collaborate with teachers to create and maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment. Record and report on students’ progress and behaviour. Work with external professionals, such as counsellors and social workers, to provide holistic support. Requirements Previous experience as an SEMH Teaching Assistant or in a similar role. A genuine passion for supporting students with SEMH needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Relevant qualifications or training in SEMH support is desirable. Why Join Us?
