Job Description:
We are seeking a Premises Officer to join our Facilities Management team in Camden. Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager, you will be a vital part of a small team working within an educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Open and secure the buildings.
* Respond to reactive job instructions and liaise with the helpdesk.
* Set up and take down exam rooms.
* Arrange room setups.
* Accept and distribute deliveries.
* Perform general day-to-day repairs and maintenance, including painting.
* Oversee subcontractors.
* Act as the main point of contact during fire evacuations or emergency procedures.
* Carry out routine and ad hoc cleaning activities.
* Perform any other duties reasonably expected within the general scope of the role.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Experience in a similar role.
* First aid qualification is advantageous.
* Ability to manage crisis situations, practical and reliable.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to liaise with other workers.
* Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and instructions.
* Ability to assess risks, complete risk assessment documentation, and escalate queries or concerns appropriately.
