Job Title: Warehouse Shift Manager (NIGHTS) Location: Waltham Abbey Reports to: Operations Manager / Site Manager Job Type: Full-time, 20.30 06:00 42.5 hrs per week (1 hour Lunch) Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience Our client are a proud independent bathroom manufacturer and distributor. Job Purpose: The Warehouse Shift Manager will lead and manage a team of warehouse operatives to ensure the efficient, accurate, and timely movement and storage of goods. The role is responsible for maintaining high standards of health and safety, operational excellence, and staff performance during the assigned shift. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate day-to-day warehouse operations during assigned shifts Manage a team of warehouse operatives, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing support Ensure all goods are received, stored, picked, and dispatched in line with company procedures Conduct shift briefings and communicate operational priorities effectively Monitor and maintain stock accuracy and ensure timely reporting of any discrepancies Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment in accordance with H&S standards Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste Provide training, coaching, and development opportunities for staff Handle shift handovers and ensure clear communication between shifts Manage shift-related admin including performance reports, attendance, and incident records Key Skills & Experience: Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or management role Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Good understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) Knowledge of health & safety regulations and best practices Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Forklift license (desirable, not essential) Flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns Qualifications: GCSEs or equivalent (essential) NVQ Level 3 in Warehousing or equivalent qualification (preferred) First Aid or Fire Marshall qualification (desirable) Benefits: Competitive salary Company pension scheme 29 days holiday (including bank holidays) On-site parking Opportunities for career development and training If you feel you have the relevant experience then wed love to hear from you, apply today ADZN1_UKTJ
