All About You
* Qualifications: NMC or HCPC registered, with recognised qualifications in Operating Department Practice or Nursing.
* Experience: Previous experience as a Theatre Practitioner is desirable, ideally with exposure across anaesthetics, scrub, and/or recovery (but not essential - do still apply).
* Clinical Competence: Proficient in managing a range of perioperative procedures, with the flexibility to adapt to various specialisms.
* Patient-Centred: Committed to compassionate patient care, ensuring each patient feels safe, respected, and supported throughout their surgical experience.
* Team Player: Strong communication skills and the ability to work seamlessly with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals.
* Professional Integrity: Dedicated to following best practices and maintaining a high standard of clinical governance.
* Passion for Development: Eager to enhance skills and stay updated with the latest in surgical procedures, patient care, and medical technology.
What Will You Be Doing?
* Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of theatre environments, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
* Providing support for anaesthetics, scrub, and recovery, depending on your specialism and the needs of each surgical procedure.
* Preparing patients for surgery, explaining procedures, and providing reassurance and support.
* Assisting the surgical team during procedures, ensuring necessary instruments and supplies are readily available.
* Monitoring patients throughout surgery, ensuring comfort and responding promptly to changes in condition.
* Collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver seamless, patient-focused care.
* Adhering to infection control, health and safety, and data protection guidelines.
