Job summary We are seeking an enthusiastic psychologist passionate about improving the quality of care and support we deliver to people with mental health problems. The Community Rehabilitation Team is a newly formed service which offers a specialist rehabilitation focussed approach to support SWLSTG service users in a variety of settings including out of area and local inpatient rehabilitation units, supported rehabilitation placements and other community settings. The role will involve 0.5wte of your time based at Bridge Support rehab placements in Kingston. Bridge Support is a Third Sector provider with two rehab houses located in Kingston and a short distance apart, offering 14 placements. A dedicated clinical team provided by SWLSTG, including psychiatry (0.4 whole time equivalent (WTE), occupational therapy (1.0 WTE), psychology (0.5 WTE), and a substance misuse/dual diagnosis support worker (0.5 WTE), works in partnership with Bridge Support who provide 24 hour waking night cover. The service is for adult residents of Kingston, Merton, Richmond, Sutton and Wandsworth, aged 18-65 with a primary mental health need, who may typically have a range of complex mental health conditions and co-morbidities, including substance misuse. The clinical interventions will be intensive, but time limited (nine months) with a focus on rehabilitation, recovery and assessment for step-down placements.
