McLaughlin & Harvey are one of the leading Building and Civil Engineering Contractors operating throughout the UK and Ireland. We are seeking to recruit a passionate and experienced Sustainability Manager to join our expanding Sustainability team. Responsibilities Reporting to the Head of Sustainability, the Sustainability Manager will support a team of advisors in driving corporate sustainability, carbon reduction measures and all further sustainability activities across the business. As Sustainability Manager you will also be responsible for the following: Managing and supporting advisors in preparation of the site-specific energy management and site sustainability plans alongside the project teams. Setting and managing challenging targets for the team. Providing ongoing support to ensure targeted reduction measures are being maintained, improvement and corrective measures are being observed. Ensuring all energy and carbon related data gathered from sites is being recorded accurately. Driving supply chain and stakeholder engagement. Possessing a deep understanding to ensure accurate carbon reporting in maintained. Supporting the Head of Sustainability in collating monthly reports ensuring compliance with Business net zero targets and mandatory compliance including ISO 14064, ISO 50001, PPN 06/21, SBTi and the TCFD reports. Supporting with external audits. Maintain year on year certainty and carbon reduction with a continued move away from Scope 3 spend based supply chain emissions through accuracy. Supporting the business in setting year on year realistic emission reductions based on trends and key focus of initiatives. Liaise where required with external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory bodies on sustainability matters. Qualifications You will ideally hold a related HNC/HND/Degree or similar level of qualification and have or working towards an IEMA membership. Experience Possess strong prior experience within a similar role within consultancy or from a contractor background. Prior knowledge of the Built environment in the form of construction and/or design is essential as is the process of 2 stage and framework tenders through to handover and post occupancy evaluation.
