Catholic Care (Diocese of Leeds) is a social care, Caritas and community-based work charity. We are looking for a new Chief Executive Officer to lead our Charity in the next phase of its journey.
Our ideal candidate will possess exemplary personal values with a strong, proven vision, demonstrable skills for leadership and a resolute determined passion to care for people in need and improve lives. Significant experience of leadership and developing and delivering strategy is required for this pivotal role with the charity.
Salary: £80,000 to £90,000 dependant on experience
Contract: permanent
Location: Leeds
Benefits: 31 days annual leave plus bank holidays plus an additional 3 days after 5 years service. 8% contributory pension.

Overview of the role:
Working with the Board of Trustees, members of the clergy and parishes, the CEO will be responsible for shaping and delivering the strategic vision of the charity in its mission to support adults and children in need.
Your role will involve responsibility for:
1. Leadership: to be visionary in the charity’s strategic development in line with the values and ethos of the charity
2. Governance: to take overall responsibility for the legal, risk, statutory and regulatory requirements of the charity
3. Strategy: to work with the Trustees, develop and deliver the strategic plan with responsibility for the continued development of Caritas across the Diocese of Leeds
4. Financial and Human Resource Management
5. Operational Efficiency: including the lead role for the regulated services with Ofsted and CQC.
Our Ideal Candidate:
We require a resilient, strategic thinker with strong values, extensive leadership experience and the ability to manage the inevitable conflict between the charity’s values and business decisions.
You will have a proven track record of success in leadership roles, delivering a successful strategic plan and with experience of financial management and governance.
