What will this role achieve?
Reporting to the Team Manager, you will have previous experience of working with manufacturing machinery and will be keen to develop your current skills and knowledge base.
What will be your key deliverables?
* The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of good manufacturing practice, food safety (HACCP) systems, and Health & Safety in the workplace.
* Operate all computerised and automated plant machinery.
* Prioritise and agree allocation of tasks within Technical Operator Team.
* Machine fault identification, diagnosis and rectification (where applicable).
* Confirm and prioritise production activity in line with production plan.
* Train and assess other operators within the team.
* Establish high standards of work and work proactively in developing continuous improvement within the area.
* Take ownership and accountability for Supply Chain Excellence in the area (including Tiered Meetings and SCE Boards).
Bring your experience
You must also have good verbal and numerical skills, basic PC skills, have an interest in solving problems, and be a committed team player.
A flexible approach to work and the ability to cope with a fast-paced working environment is essential. You will be highly motivated, have a flexible and adaptable approach to work, and be able to demonstrate an aptitude for mechanical based tasks.
Excellent organisational skills are essential, and you must be able to work on your own initiative without direct supervision.
Ideally, you would have previous experience operating equipment in a quality-focused and performance-driven factory environment; however, training can be provided if not. Experience of food manufacturing is an advantage.
