This role requires the post holder to provide an efficient and comprehensive clerical and administrative service for the Bassetlaw Local Mental Health Team.
You will work as part of a team of 7 providing clerical and administrative support, including reception duties such as monitoring patients and visitor attendance, dealing with telephone enquiries, and managing incoming mail.
This role will be suited to someone with reception experience and confidence when handling calls and welcoming patients and visitors alike to the service.
Please note that this is a supernumerary role where you will be based within the Bassetlaw LMHT but will be expected to travel to other sites in the mid Nottinghamshire area, making no two days the same.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out all aspects of clerical and administrative support.
2. Maintain health care records including computerised systems and databases.
3. Monitor patients & visitor attendance, deal with telephone enquiries and incoming mail.
4. Receive and make internal and external telephone calls, ensuring messages are appropriately signposted and actioned.
5. Type correspondence as required.
6. Co-ordinate healthcare appointments for patients.
7. Word process correspondence including letters, memos, and typing reports.
8. Take notes/minutes at team meetings.
9. File and photocopy, scan and attach documents.
10. Implement and maintain adequate filing and follow-up systems.
11. Transfer individual and bulk files for archiving between locations.
12. Input clinical data and maintain records.
13. Identify health and safety practices appropriate to self and others.
14. Participate in training courses and updates in accordance with mandatory requirements and undertake personal development plan 'My Annual Review'.
15. Work as a team to provide cover for sickness and annual leave, as required.
16. Undertake any other duties that would be a reasonable expectation of the role.
