Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop and implement training programmes for staff across various departments.
2. Coordinate and schedule training sessions using external training providers ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
3. Conduct training sessions using various methods e.g. classrooms/workshops, e-learning, and one-on-one coaching.
4. Conduct practical driving assessments for new and existing drivers to evaluate their skills and safety.
5. Conduct practical forklift assessments for new and existing staff to evaluate their skills and safety.
6. Provide constructive feedback to drivers and develop improvement plans as needed.
7. Ensure all training and assessments adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
8. Promote a culture of safety and compliance within the organisation.
9. Maintain accurate records of training activities, assessments, and employee progress, paying particular attention to expiry dates of training and evidence of training conducted.
10. Prepare reports on training outcomes and driver performance.
11. Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in training and driver assessment.
12. Continuously review and improve training materials and methods.
13. Act as a point of contact for training-related inquiries and issues.
14. Provide excellent customer service to internal staff and external stakeholders.
15. Maintain and manage training materials in line with the company quality manual (Business Systems Manual).
16. Maintain an approved training provider list, liaising with training providers to ensure compliance with service level agreements and the company Third Party Service Providers Safety, Welfare and Security Agreement.
17. Assess external training providers for suitability and compliance prior to onboarding or as required.
18. Assist in investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses, and provide recommendations for corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
19. Take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others affected by your actions.
20. Don’t tamper with or misuse anything provided by the company for health, safety, or welfare.
21. Adhere to company policy and processes in relation to health, safety, and welfare.
22. Adhere to company policy and processes in relation to security.
23. Any other task as assigned by management.
Technical Skills:
1. Proven experience as a trainer or educator, ideally in the warehouse and distribution sector.
2. A heightened awareness of security-related practices commensurate with an organisation involved in the air-freight (or similar) industry.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
4. Experienced in the use and development of training material on e-learning platforms.
5. Knowledge of training methodologies and adult learning principles.
6. Innovative and continuous improvement focused.
7. A 'can-do' attitude and a willingness to take on significant challenges.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Strong organisation and time management skills.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Professional Qualification or Experience Required:
1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is desirable.
2. Full clean driving licence for vehicle categories B, C, and C+E held for a minimum of 5 years.
3. In-date Driver Certification of Professional Competence.
4. Trained in the use of counterbalance (B1 and B2) forklift trucks and ideally trained in the use of reach trucks.
