Job Title: IT Support Apprentice

This is an exciting prospect to join a fast-paced environment, working with multiple teams across the business who support a wide range of internal and external customers, dealing with companies worldwide. This role will naturally grow to support and eventually lead large scale projects, initially providing first line support to the business and working closely with IT and Systems Co-ordinator enabling the successful candidate to learn from the ground up.
KEY TASKS
* To repair and diagnose first line support for PCs, laptops, printers and associated peripherals in conjunction with IT and Systems Co-ordinator and external IT Support provider.
* Set up new starter equipment including and not limited to mobile phones and tablets.
* Be point of contact for external IT Support provider.
* Respond to, log and resolve internal support requests.
* Contribute to the development and update of network systems as required.
* Assist with large system upgrades, overhauls and projects as instructed.
* Set up equipment for events as required including support for all Audio Visual (AV) technologies.
* Support with New Starters IT induction.
* Be compliant with management system policies, company policies & guidelines and take responsibility for health & safety in the workplace.
* Respond to any requests for information from your line management in a timely manner.
* Be familiar with customer policies and processes where applicable.
* To be approachable and accepting of training requirements in relation to the role.
* To maintain the skills and knowledge required to perform the role to the required standard.
* Must be able to embrace new technologies and adapt to change.
* Company asset logs to be maintained.
* Keep up to date with industry standards and offer recommendations based on best practice.
* Scanning, filing (electronic & hard copy) & issuing documentation as appropriate.
* Support with invoice and spend reconciliation.
* Working in strict compliance with Health and Safety Risk Assessments and Methods Statements.
* Providing other general administrative support to the department.
* May be required to complete other business activities on behalf of the company from time to time in line with identified skills, competencies and experience.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge & Skills

* High standard of written & verbal communication, with a confident & professional phone manner.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Ability to remain calm, focused & productive in a fast-paced working environment.
* Comfortable working autonomously.
* IT literate, with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook.
Training, Education & Experience
* GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4/C or above) Essential.
* GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4/C or above) Essential.
REMUNERATION & BENEFITS
Salary / Rate: £8.72 p/h
Basic Hours: Monday to Friday 09.00-17.00, 30-minute lunch break. Total 37.5 hrs per week.
