We have an immediate opening for a Quality Inspection Technician.
Function:
The function of the Quality Inspection Technician is to ensure the high quality of parts being sent to our customers and to ensure compliance with WCM work instructions and procedures. Advice for the purpose of improving quality and reducing time and cost to manufacture.
Reporting Relationships:
The Quality Inspection Technician reports to the Quality Inspection Supervisor. The Quality Inspection Technician interfaces with all Leads, Engineering, Testing, Mark and Pack, Material Control, and Personnel.
Authority:
The Quality Inspection Technician has the authority to:
1. Reject parts that do not meet specifications on the customer drawings.
2. Recommend redline changes to production drawings.
3. Suggest methods to improve product and quality, reduce time and cost to manufacture.
4. Perform audits to verify compliance with approved work instructions and procedures.
Responsibility:
The Quality Inspection Technician has the responsibility and duty to:
* QC all parts, verifying that all parts meet all customer specifications including electrical specifications.
* Perform periodic internal audits to verify that approved work instructions and procedures are being followed.
* Verify that customer P.O. #, ship dates, part numbers and revision level, quantity of parts is consistent throughout all documentation accompanying each order.
* Verify that all parts are built 100% to specification prior to release for shipment to the customer.
* Maintain IPC 610 certification.
* Ensure that workmanship meets WCM and customer standards.
* Sign off all orders and certificates of compliance.
* Ensure Manufacturing compliance with the Standard Procedure Manual.
* Keep the work area clean.
* Follow all applicable company Standard Procedures.
* Ensure defective parts are clearly labeled and identified in accordance with the company Quality Policy.
* Maintain a final inspection discrepancy log.
Performance Measurements:
The Quality Inspection Technician will be deemed to be performing in a satisfactory manner when the following is accomplished:
* A productive working relationship with other personnel is maintained.
* A minimum number of reworks are received from customers.
* The Inspection team is adhering to the company safety program and a minimal number of workplace accidents occur.
* Accurate record-keeping.
* Professional appearance and demeanor.
* Degree of closeness to a goal of zero customer rejects resulting from Final Inspector discrepancies.
Minimum Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Good communication skills
3. A minimum of two years of experience working in quality inspection role in electronic industry.
