A highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant is sought to join a dynamic Shared Service Centre team. This individual will play a key role in executing critical finance processes, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of financial transactions while adhering to established procedures and controls.
The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. They will be a team player with excellent communication skills and a desire to learn and grow within a fast-paced shared service environment.
What You'll Do:
* Oversee the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial records in line with finance Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
* Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
* Supervise the Assistant Financial Accountants in their daily tasks, providing guidance and support.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations (e.g., define process and timeline for reconciling intercompany transactions between regions during month end).
Who You Are:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in a finance operations role, preferably within a shared service centre environment.
* Proven experience leading and motivating a team of finance professionals.
* Strong understanding of key finance processes and systems.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
