Operational Resilience takes a client-centric and “outside-in”, cross-organisational approach, rooted in our mission and value as a company. Resilience deepens our relationships with clients and counterparties, strengthens our internal value-chain, and reduces commercial threats to Citi’s growth due to deeper understanding of new and emerging vulnerabilities, risks, and threats (posed by evolving business models, technology, and client expectations). This role will support the Enterprise Resilience team in ensuring that the Operations and Technology aspects of the overall Operational Resilience programme are delivered, and that ongoing oversight of this area continues.
The Operational Resilience Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who will play a vital role working with Citi’s Enterprise Resilience team to shape and deliver the Operational Resilience programme, as well as representing the programme to key senior stakeholders globally, such as Clients, Subsidiary Boards, management committees, and Product and Banking Heads. This is an exciting role at the leading edge of driving culture change, and a new way of doing business and engaging our clients.
Responsibilities:
• Work within the global Enterprise Resilience function, supporting regulation planning and integration team, helping to maintain a global framework and supporting the implementation teams in delivery of compliance objectives.
• Develop documents to support local jurisdictional operational resilience requirements.
• Follow emerging industry trends and potential disrupters to segments and strategy in relation to operational resilience.
• Deliver specific ad-hoc analysis and tactical support in preparation for business and management meetings.
• Grasp key priorities and complex issues quickly for the larger organization and create clear written presentations/communications.
• Document findings of study and prepare recommendations for implementation of new systems, procedures, or organizational changes.
• Analyze data gathered and develop solutions or alternative methods of proceeding.
• Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
• Demonstrable experience in Financial Services, consultancy or equivalent industry, with technical experience related to operational resilience, business continuity, incident management and/or managing regulatory change
• Solid understanding of wholesale financial services businesses and end-to-end operating models
• Proven analytic skills and ability to synthesize information, to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholder groups and to deliver credible outputs supporting senior management decision making.
