Main duties of the job
There are two Deputy Chief Medical Officer (DCMO) roles that are pivotal within our new structure and will function as a team to support the portfolio of the Chief Medical Officer which includes the delivery of high quality and effective care to those who use our services.
This GP role is focused on strengthening system partnership working particularly with Primary Care and offers the opportunity to co-design Integrated Community Teams across Sussex. The second DCMO role seeks a consultant and is focused on Professional Standards and developing our workforce.
The DCMO will agree on a balanced portfolio that offers exceptional experience in medical leadership across our diverse Community Trust and the wider system. They will chair Trust-wide groups and will be visible, respected, and key senior clinical leaders.

Person SpecificationQualifications
* GMC Registered with Licence to Practice
* Registered on the GMC GP Register
* Entered on the NHSE GP Performer List
* Qualification in Business/Medical Management
Experience
* At the time of appointment have been a medical practitioner throughout the previous 5 years
* Proven record in Medical Management and /or leadership of at least Clinical Director/Medical Lead level
Skills and Knowledge
* Proven ability to build strong and effective working relationships and networks that interface with GPs and wider clinical leadership across the health community
