The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain security clearance prior to commencing employment, which includes being able to provide a minimum of 3 years consecutive UK employment/education & residential history.
The role will report into the Operations Manager and will support our warehouses based in Bridgwater, J24, HPC offsite storage solution.

Day to Day
* Effective line management of shift leads and MTOs where required; Return to work, regular 121s, performance management
* Team Development: establishing training needs of the team and liaising with relevant parties
* Proactively contribute to achieving performance and operational targets for each shift, safety, quality, service, absence
* Lead the operation in the absence of the Operations Manager
* Create and deliver briefings
* Establish priorities, communicate, and escalate them effectively
* Liaise with customer, colleagues and other third parties to meet customer expectations
* Be a presence in the warehouse, and lead by example with a safety-first approach
* Management and upkeep of the payroll system; Oracle/Kronos
* Assigning safety roles for the day and ensuring communication boards are up to date
* Collating data for senior management and the client and communicating this when requested
* Use of safety systems across the contract such as: Insight and EcoOnline
* Ensuring FieldView is right first time and training colleagues to continuously improve
* Contributing, mentoring, and driving team development
* Assist in completing risk assessments
* Permits to work completed and compliant and filed correctly
What will you bring?
* Basic MS skills
* Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential
* Confidence to escalate concerns to senior management
* Previous use of Manual Handling Equipment: LLOP, Counterbalance, Reach Truck, EPT
* First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, Fire Marshall, spill responder, Incident controller and banksman
