About The Role …
We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented, experienced Legal Executive/Secretary to join our client’s team assisting the Partner and Solicitor.
This is a part-time position offering a minimum of 20 hours per week with flexible hours for the successful applicant and the potential for this role to develop into a full-time position.
Assisting a busy Partner and Solicitor, you will be a trusted and essential person in this diverse role.
Some of your responsibilities include:
* Diary and email management, including travel arrangements
* Editing and formatting of court documents
* Systematically filing paperwork, scheduling important dates and deadlines as well as liaising with court registrars
* Assisting clients with initial queries, drafting client emails, and completing any required dictation as well as some administrative tasks
* Preparing end-of-month billing and statements
* Client database management and database administration
* Assisting staff with statements and queries
Our client offers the opportunity to diversify into other areas of law as their practice grows.
About You …
Ideally you will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Legal Executive/ Secretary or in a similar role within a law firm.
You should:
* Be confident and proficient in managing routine litigation files
* Have strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
* Have excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and other parties
* Have a flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Have the capability (and experience) to leverage technology and advanced AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency is an advantage, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
* Be proactive – our client wants someone who demonstrates initiative, brings innovation and thinks outside the box
* Be a collaborator with a proactive attitude and a dedication to excellence
* Have attention to detail, a high level of accuracy and the ability to multi-task effectively.

* Have some knowledge of Anti Money Laundering Compliance
* Have rural legal knowledge and experience
* Have experience with LEAP practice management software
