Charge Nurse/Mental Health Practitioner - Rose Ward - Band 6 Secondment
Are you an experienced RMN/RNLD/RGN/MHP seeking a new challenge? Would you like the opportunity to work on a busy, inpatient ward alongside a collaborative and supportive team?
We have an exciting opportunity on Rose ward for an experienced RMN/RNLD/RGN/MHP who would like to join our team to support our service in providing clinical and leadership to staff, and enhance the care we provide to our service users.
This role is ideal for someone who is interested in innovative patient-centred care and who is passionate and wants to help drive improvement. All of our inpatient areas are fast-paced settings where no two days will be the same.
The ideal candidate will need a level head and be aware of the operational pressures of an acute older persons' inpatient environment. As a team, we take pride in supporting staff and providing an induction to the area and to people’s individual needs and experience.
We welcome applications from registered mental health nurses, registered learning disability nurses, registered general nurses and mental health practitioners.
1. The post holder will work supportively and collaboratively with the Clinical Team Leader in ensuring the effective management of the ward in all respects, environmental, financial and clinical insofar as this relates to nursing practice.
2. The post holder will undertake the planning and delivery of direct patient care with appropriate supervision, ensuring continuity of practice and working within a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency environment.
3. The post holder will be expected to provide a clinical lead to staff in various areas of practice, adhering to the philosophy and clinical skills base of the ward.
4. The post holder will monitor nursing practice on a day-to-day basis and ensure that nursing complements the practice of other professionals.
5. The post holder will work towards implementing reviews and changes in practice at the discretion of the Clinical Team Leader.
6. The post holder will be required to work shifts across a 24-hour period in order to meet the needs of the service.
