A look into the role
Henderson Technology are the proud creators of EDGEPoS, the multi award-winning global EPOS software system.
We provide our retailers with the most innovative features and solutions for their EPOS software. You will collaborate with the Edgepos development team and report to the Senior Developer/Development Manager.
Your role involves creating test cases to ensure the project team’s deliverables align with business and non-functional requirements. You will take a user story from its initial concept through planning, define suitable acceptance tests as part of an Agile team, and oversee their execution through reviews and manual/automated testing.
Additionally, you will engage in requirements gathering, analysis, design, testing, and release, ensuring quality throughout the project lifecycle. You will also drive continuous improvement and ensure the appropriate automation of regression and integration tests.
Working as Software Tester you will:
* Collaborate within an Agile Team to deliver developments.
* Provide testing insights during sprint planning and retrospectives to enhance development processes.
* Work with development and testing teams to create, maintain, and automate test cases.
* Support the identification of test cases for automation via unit tests.
* Conduct manual testing, report issues, and investigate software problems.
* Assist in creating and maintaining Ranorex UI automation via unit tests.
* Ensure Acceptance Criteria and Definition of Done are met for each story.
* Maintain physical and VM test environments.
* Update technical documentation as needed.
* Ensure backup procedures for the build server are functional and well-documented.
* Continuously develop skills to stay updated with industry trends.
Skills for Success
Joining us as Software Tester the minimum criteria you’ll need is:
* 3rd Level Qualification or equivalent in an IT related field
* A minimum of 1 years’ experience within a testing related role
* Technical Windows OS experience
* Ability to manage detail-oriented projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines.

It is Desirable if you have:
* ISTQB certification
* Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence for project and documentation management.
* Experience with Groovy scripting for automation.
* Understanding of OpenEdge ABL for database and application development.
* Proficiency in Mercurial Source Control for version management.

This is a full-time position working 36.5 hours per week. Working hours will be 8:45am-4:45pm Monday to Thursday and 8:45am-3:45pm Friday. Hybrid and flexible working arrangement available.
