Role and Responsibilities
1. Follow the company processes and procedures in relation to food safety, allergen control, protective clothing and maintain good manufacturing practices throughout the shift.
2. Follow the clean as you go policy and maintain high standards of personal hygiene.
3. Unload trailers, vacuum cool all incoming pallets of produce received at ambient temperature in line with the company’s quality standards.
4. Load and unload vehicles ensuring products are dispatched in line with the companies’ standards.
5. Complete and submit documentation accurately and in a timely manner to ensure traceability is maintained.
6. Minimize the environmental impact by following the company waste disposal procedures.
7. Support new product development process.
8. Meet the relevant KPIs and targets assigned by line manager.
9. Assist in day-to-day operation and provide cover and support to other operatives if necessary.
10. Report any issues immediately and directly to your Line Manager.
11. Ensure the clock in system is used to clock in and out for all start, break and finishing times.
12. Follow all company policies and procedures.
13. Speak to staff under your supervision with respect and empathy.
14. All staff are informed that from time to time, depending on business needs, they may be instructed to work in another department they would not normally work in, but that should this happen training will be supplied at that point.
Role Requirements
Essential
* Good English language, both verbal and written.
* Understanding of a safe working environment.
* Willingness to enhance individual knowledge in areas of development.
Desirable
* Experience of working in a food manufacturing environment.
* Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene.
* ESOL Entry 2 or equivalent.
* Counterbalance Licence.
* PPT Licence.
