About The Role
At Cobry, we're passionate about empowering our customers with actionable insights through data. We leverage cutting-edge BI tools, specifically Looker and Dataform, to build robust data models and insightful dashboards. We're looking for a talented BI Engineer to join our data team and play a crucial role in transforming raw data into clear, compelling visualizations.
As our BI Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing data models within Dataform, crafting intuitive dashboards in Looker, and ensuring seamless data integration. Your work will directly impact our customers' ability to make data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain data models in Dataform to support business intelligence and reporting needs.
* Build and deploy interactive dashboards and visualizations in Looker to provide actionable insights.
* Optimize data models and Looker dashboards for performance and scalability.
* Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
* Ensure data quality and consistency across all BI deliverables.
* Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data models, dashboards, and ETL processes.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest BI technologies and best practices, particularly with Looker and Dataform.
You will need
To excel in this position, you need to bring the following:
Skills
* Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
* Experience with Looker for dashboard development and data exploration, or any other BI tool with a semantic layer.
* Hands-on experience with Dataform for data modeling and transformation, or any other SQL orchestration framework like dbt or sqlmesh.
* Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
* Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure).
* Familiarity with data visualization best practices.
