Job brief:
To work as part of a team and to ensure you are maximising the efficiency of the machine you are working on. Ensuring at all times you are working in a safe manner and manufacturing a high quality product to the customer's specification.
Key responsibilities:
To ensure all management procedures are followed in line with all our Health, Safety and BRC procedures.
To ensure comprehensive quality checks are followed and understood to achieve compliance as a minimum with the ISO 9001 standard.
To ensure environmental management procedures are followed to achieve compliance with ISO 14001 standard.
Responsible for cultivating a culture of sustainability in the Company.
Responsible for the recording, monitoring and maintaining the progress of ESG KPI's within my area of responsibility.
Housekeeping is of paramount importance and you are to ensure you are working in a clean and safe environment.
You are to communicate regularly with your supervisor/manager and raise any issues immediately that need actioning or resolving.
Company clothing must be worn at all times during the working shift and where applicable the relevant PPE must also be worn in the correct manner.
The Machine Operator has full responsibility for the overall operation of the machine and you will support him/her during the day to day running of activities. If they ask you to do something for them you must be willing to do it.
You must pro-actively help the Machine Operator during the setup of jobs.
All maintenance on the machine must be carried out in a safe manner with the machine locked off at all times whilst working on it. All activities during the maintenance must be carried out effectively to ensure the maintenance stoppage is productive. Report any issues found during maintenance to the Machine Operator immediately.
You must ensure every pallet is checked for quality issues i.e. colour, fish tailing etc.
As a Feeder you must ensure all flat sheet board fed into the machine meets customer expectations.
The scores on the sheet board are not always in the same position. If this is the case the material must be fed into the machine in the correct direction.
Ensure the feed gate is set for the correct thickness of material.
Communicate with other team members regarding any issues in a timely and clear manner.
Assist other team members to achieve production targets.
As a Palletiser you are the last person to see the finished product before it is palletised for despatch, attention to detail and good communication skills are essential.
As a palletiser it is your responsibility to ensure the order specific palletisation instructions are followed for each and every order.
As a palletiser you will put the pallet labels onto the pallet. Make sure you fully understand the labels and are able to check them against the works order to ensure the correct label is applied to the corresponding pallet.
Ensure each and every pallet presents a good impression of the product inside.
