We have an exciting opportunity at nbn, as the Senior Engineer Critical Infrastructure reporting to Senior Manager, CNI Engineering.
A bit about your role
The Senior Engineer Critical Infrastructure is a specialized professional responsible for designing and delivering solutions that meet NBN's business needs and customer expectations. They lead the creation and acceptance of solution architecture, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and delivering excellent customer experiences. This role involves:
* Designing critical physical infrastructure for NBN’s Network and Technology Sites,
* Providing strategic direction for data center and network node facilities,
* Creating reliable, cost-effective power and cooling solutions.
The Senior Engineer also engages with vendors and consultants to analyze and review design proposals.
A bit about you
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
* Expertise in data centre cooling and power supply/distribution,
* Experience in the Australian data centre market,
* Skills in designing and delivering complex solutions in the data centre/telecommunications industry,
* A deep understanding of design principles and industry standards,
* Advanced documentation skills and the ability to create and maintain engineering and architecture artifacts.
Additionally, strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills are required. Any relevant industry certifications in Data Centre design (such as CDCE, DCDC, CDCDP), a proven track record of leading large data centre projects, and experience with creating and reviewing facility designs, engineering diagrams, and floor plans using 3D CAD software is beneficial.
