Exciting News! We're coming to Boley Park and looking to recruit an Assistant Community Shop Manager for our shiny new store. Have you got a passion for fashion and love working in your local community? Then this is the role for you!
As an Assistant Community Shop Manager (ACSM) for St Giles Hospice you will support in leading a team of volunteers. You’ll be empowered to make decisions locally whilst working within a supportive framework. You’ll work within and for your local community ensuring that engagement and support is understood and promoted.
You’ll have good customer service skills and want to be part of a successful team. Ideally, you’ll have previous retail experience with the ability to manage and lead the store in the absence of the Community Shop Manager (CSM).
Reporting into the CSM and working closely with the Retail Regional Manager you will aid in supporting your store to run efficiently and deliver a positive financial contribution to the Hospice.
Qualifications
1. Qualifications in English and Maths
2. Minimum Level 2 Key Skills or Grade 4 (A-C) GCSE
Knowledge and experience
1. Ability to lead and motivate others
2. Understanding of health and safety regulations
3. Ability to plan and prioritize workloads and delegate accordingly
4. Outstanding communication skills
5. Knowledge and understanding of sales management, profit and loss
6. Local community knowledge
7. Previous line management experience
8. Experience in achieving goals and identifying opportunities
9. Ability to implement and enforce policies
10. Desire to work as part of a team to generate fresh and innovative community-based ideas
11. Some experience of Gift Aid
12. Some experience of working with volunteers
